Minneapolis, Minn. - The Arizona women’s swimming team completed first round of preliminary action this afternoon, qualifying a total of 14 athletes to compete in five events during tonight’s finals competition that will begin at 7 p.m. (CST).
Starting off the meet for the Wildcats was the 200 free relay team of sophomores Lindsey Kelly, Lara Jackson, Anna Turner and junior Brandy Collins, which posted a fourth-place seed for tonight’s finals with a time of 1:29.16.

Two women qualified for the championship finals of the 200 IM, as senior Whitney Myers finished third (1:57.25) and sophomore Hailey DeGolia finished eighth (1:58.94). Freshmen Andrea Boritzke, Jenny Forster and Caitlin Iversen qualified for the consolation finals of the event as well, finishing 11th, 12th, and 15th, respectively.
Sophomore Lara Jackson broke her own school record in the 50 free, posting a No. 2 seed for the event with a time of 21.89. Junior Lacey Nymeyer also posted a time that was good enough to break the school record (21.92), finishing third overall. Turner finished 13th overall in the race, posting a personal best time of 22.49.
For the final event, the 400 medley team of sophomore Justine Schluntz, freshman Annie Chandler, freshman Ana Agy and Kelly finished third overall with a time of 3:35.11.
