TULSA- The first day of the qualifying rounds at the All-American Championships was not what the men's tennis expected. The expectations coming in were high, but unfortunately that was not the case. Only sophomore Jay Goldman advanced to the second round by defeating Eric Quigley of Kentucky 6-4, 6-4.
Goldman will play Jason Jung, who is ranked 28th in the ITA rankings, tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. Tucson time. Jung defeated Eliot Potvin of Georgia Tech in three sets 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
