LAKESIDE, Calif. - University of Arizona Wildcats men's golf Arizona's men's golf team finished in fifth place at the Barona Collegiate Cup in Lakeside, Calif. to end the competition. The Wildcats carded a 381 (+21) the final day and a overall score of 1113 (+33).

Arizona finished with three players in the top 23, including two in the top 15.

Tye Beall and Tarquin MacManus led Arizona with both players finishing tied for 13th place. Beall posted a 77 (+5) today and overall shot 220 (+4). Beall's 13th place finish is the freshman's career high. MacManus shot a 75 (+3) and also shot 220 for the tournament.

Jonathan Khan shot a 77 (+5) for the day and finished the competition with a score of 223 (+7) and tied for 22nd place. Erik Oja carded an 83 (+11) and totaled 226 (+10) for the tournament, good for a 36th place finish. Juan Pablo Hernandez and Trent Redfern both posted scores of 233 (+17) for the event and tied for 69th place. Hernandez shot a 78 (+6) on the final day, while Redfern shot a 74 (+2).

San Diego State won the tournament by seven strokes, posting a total score of 1079 (-1). The Aztecs shot a 357 (-3) for the final round of competition. The neighboring San Diego Toreros finished in second place with a score of 1086 (+6) and carded a 374 (+6) on the day.

Glen Scher of UC Santa Barbara finished in first place with a final score of 209 (-7). He carded a 72 (E) for the last round. Scott Smith of Nevada and J.J. Spaun of San Diego State both tied for second place with scores of 210 (-6). Smith shot a 72 (E) on the final day and Spaun shot a 69 (-3).
