Cats Hit .439 in Sweep of Oregon

EUGENE, Ore.Arizona committed just eight attack errors in route to a 15-10, 15-4, 15-7 sweep of Oregon in Eugene Friday night.

The Cats improved to 17-9 with the win, 11-6 in Pac-10 play. Oregon fell to 7-20 and 1-17.

Arizona hit .439 for the match, the fourth-best hitting percentage in Wildcat history and a season-high mark. UA out-blocked Oregon, 9-1.

Junior middle blocker Marisa DaLee hit .500 (9-1-16) for the match, the 14th time in her career that she has hit .500 or better. No other Wildcat has done so more than six times. Sophomore outside hitter Jill Talbot hit .500 (7-1-12) with eight digs and four blocks.

The Ducks' Amy Banducci led all players with 12 kills.

Arizona wraps up Pac-10 play Saturday night at Oregon State at 7:00 PST.
