Arizona head coach David Rubio and the Wildcat volleyball team (17-10, 9-9) travel to Los Angeles, Calif. to take on No. 2 UCLA and No. 1 USC. The Wildcats will take on the Bruins on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. PT and the Trojans on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. PT

The matches will mark the 10th and 11th times Arizona will take on a team ranked in the top-10 and third and fourth times competing with a team in the top-two this season.

Freshman Madi Kingdon (Phoenix, Ariz.) and senior Courtney Karst (Centennial, Colo.) lead the team in kills with 294 and 291 respectively, while senior Cursty Jackson (Los Angeles) leads in hitting percentage (.307) and blocks (91). Sophomore Candace Nicholson (Long Beach, Calif.) leads in digs with 346 and aces with 19. Freshman Chloe Mathis (La Jolla, Calif.) fulfills the setting duties for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats swept at home last weekend, defeating Utah, 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-23) and Colorado, 3-2 (25-15, 21-25, 25-14, 18-25, 15-12).

No. 2 UCLA (23-4, 16-3)

Series History vs. UCLA
The Wildcats had not beaten the Bruins since Nov. 19, 2005, giving UCLA the edge on the last 10 matchups, before upsetting them in October.

Scouting the Bruins
UCLA has a 23-4 overall record and is 16-3 in Pac-12 play this season after splitting last weekend’s matches, falling to Oregon and defeating Oregon State. The Bruins lost in five sets to No. 20 Oregon, 3-2 (25-20, 25-23, 15-25, 18-25, 9-15), on Friday. UCLA is led by Rachael Kidder, who averages 4.51 kills per set, and Lauren Van Orden, who averages 10.90 assists per set.

No. 1 USC (22-4, 17-2)

Arena: Galen Center
Series: USC leads, 53-17

Last Matchup: USC won, 3-0 (27-25, 25-21, 25-19) in Tucson.

Series History vs. USC

The Trojans have won the last four matches in the series. Arizona’s last victory came in 2009 where it won, 3-1(25-21, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21) in Tucson.

Scouting the Trojans
USC has a 22-4 overall record and is 17-2 in Pac-12 play this season after sweeping the Oregon schools last weekend. The Trojans have not lost a set since falling to Stanford on Oct. 28. USC is led by Alex Jupiter, who averages 4.40 kills per set, Kendall Bateman, averaging 12.02 assists per set and Natalie Hagglund, who averages 5.18 digs per set.
