Hola Wildcat Fans,

We left on Saturday morning to our second tournament in Chicago. Right when we got into Chicago, our coaches took us to downtown to an Italian restaurant. After eating, we went shopping at the rugby store. As soon as we finished that, we went to a Spanish restaurant where they had tapas for every team in the tournament. One thing that I have learned with this team is that if you want to fit in, you have to be ready to eat 24/7.

Moving on to the fun part of the trip, the actual tournament. We played a beautiful golf course called Glen View. The course is very traditional with trees, long rough, and fast greens. We had our practice round on Sunday afternoon where we got a lot of notes about the course. On Monday, we played 36 holes. This was an interesting tournament because after the first nine holes, we were in last place. When we finished the 36 holes, we moved all the way up to second place, only six shots back from first.

The morning before our final round, we went out to the course and there was a very good vibe among the team. We knew that we needed to Bear Down in order to get those six shots back and come back to Tucson with a win. Every shot we took and every step we made, we knew needed to count. For that reason, we kept encouraging each other every time we saw our teammates on the course.

Unfortunately, we came one shot short of taking this victory with us but all the girls did an amazing job; especially Isabelle Boineau winning the individual title for the tournament.

We are definitely moving into the right direction. We are going to keep practicing and improving!!!
