No timetable set for return

TUCSON, Ariz. ?- University of Arizona men's basketball player Kirk Walters will be out indefinitely with Mononucleosis.  No timetable has been set for a return.

Walters, a 6-foot-11, 254-pound senior center from Grand Rapids, Mich., had career averages of 3.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.9 blocked shots per game prior to Sunday’s season-opening game at Virginia.  He played just two minutes in that contest, where he grabbed one rebound and missed his only field goal attempt.

Walters was cleared to participate on Nov. 7 after suffering a concussion in an October practice.  He had been sidelined for much of the previous three weeks.

The 15th-ranked Wildcats return to action tonight as the team hosts Northern Arizona.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. MST.
