PALO ALTO, Calif. - Sophomore Isabelle Boineau finished in a tie for 13th place, leading Arizona to a 7th place finish at the Stanford Intercollegiate event on Sunday.
Boineau fired an even-par round of 71 on Sunday and finished the tournament at 1-over par. She ended up nine shots back of tournament champion Jennifer Song of USC, who shot 67 on Sunday to end up at 8-under for the weekend.
Sophomore Margarita Ramos turned in her third-straight round of 72 to end up at 3-over for the tournament and shared 21st place with Glory Yang of UCLA.
A single shot separated Alejandra Llaneza from teammates Sherlyn Popelka and Nikki Koller, the latter playing as an individual player. Llaneza ended up at 11-over 224 for the weekend while Koller finished at 225 for the 54 holes.
Brittany Benvenuto rounded out the Arizona squad, shooting 231 for the weekend. The Wildcats finished with a three-day total of 879, shooting 294 on the final day. Arizona State went wire-to-wire and captured the team trophy at 12-under par.
A busy month of October continues in eight days when the Wildcats tee off at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, taking place October 26-28.
