Hey GymCat fans,
I hope you all had fun at our meet last Friday, or watching us online. We sure had a good time. We love doing the breast cancer awareness meet. We get to support a good cause, do gymnastics, and wear really cute leotards; it's always a great meet! The best part is that we had a pretty good meet. There is still room for improvement but we seem to be getting better and better every week, and our scores and our rankings have proved it.
All week we have been getting ready for our next road trip against Pac-10 rival Washington. Practices have been going well and we are working on the little things. At this point in our season it's about quality not quantity, which is what we have been focusing on in practice. Fine-tuning those small details that will help us move on to our 23rd consecutive post-season run.
On kind of a sad note, Jo (Miranda Russell) injured her knee at the last home meet and had surgery on Wednesday. Everything went well and she is in great spirits. She can't wait to get back.
Now we are off to Washington to compete on the purple floor. We are all really excited to travel again and have a good time. I hope you all get a chance to watch the live broadcast from the University of Washington and cheer on the GymCats. Be sure to come out to our next home meet on February 13 in the McKale Center. We love performing in front of our home crowd and Wildcat fans!
