The Arizona diving team will host 16 schools at the Wildcat Diving Invite beginning Friday, Nov. 18 and continuing through Sunday, Nov. 20 at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.
Competition will begin at noon on Friday and Saturday and at 11 a.m. on Sunday. On Friday, the women will compete on the 3m and the men on the 1m. On Saturday, they will switch with the women competing on the 1m and the men on the 3m and they will wrap up the invite with platform competition from both teams on Sunday.
The Wildcats will welcome Arizona State, Air Force, Northern Arizona, Buffalo, Stanford, UCLA, UCSD, California, Utah, BYU, Wyoming, New Mexico, Boise State, Nevada, UNLV and Tulane.
Arizona is led by seniors Ben Grado (Conifer, Colo.), Andres Guerra (Sugarland, Texas) and Ainsley Oliver (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan). So far this season, Grado has swept every competition he has participated in, finishing in first-place in every event. Guerra has added five top-five finishes and Oliver has posted three top finishes and added two runner-up scores.
In the sophomore class, Samantha Pickens (Murrysville, Pa.) has not finished out of the top three, Ashley Herrera (La Palma,Calif.) has posted seven top-five finishes and Sean Clark (Phoenix, Ariz.) has added six scores in the top 10.
Freshmen Josh Bidak (Phoenix, Ariz.), Carter Craft (Houston, Texas) and Izzy Diamond (Tucson, Ariz.) will also compete for the Wildcats this weekend. Bidak and Craft have not finished outside of the top-five this season and Diamond has added five top-five finishes so far this season.
