Wildcat Divers Complete Second Day of NCAA Zone E Diving Championships

Oklahoma City, Okla.- The Arizona men's and women's diving teams completed the second day of competition at the 2004 NCAA Zone E Diving Championships this afternoon at the Oklahoma City Community College Aquatic Center.

Freshman Mary Yarrison won the 3-meter title with 496.30 points. Yarrison finished third in the 1-meter competition on Thursday with 533.95 points.

For the men's diving team, senior Josh Anderson finished second in the 1-meter competition with 660.20 points in addition to his second place finish Thursday on the 3-meter board. Senior Alex Vollelunga finished 12th (549.60), and freshman J.J Aderholt finished 18th (473.20).

The Zone E Diving Championships conclude tomorrow with the platform competition. Qualifiers for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships will be determined after the platform competition is complete.
