Tucson , Ariz. ?C The Arizona volleyball team dropped its fifth-straight match with a loss to No. 5 USC on Friday night in McKale Center.? Game scores were 30-25, 30-24 and 30-18.? The loss puts the Wildcats at 13-17, 3-14 Pac-10, while the Women of Troy improve to 24-4, 13-4 Pac-10.

As a team, Arizona hit .096 (41-28-136) and finished with five service aces and three blocks.? USC hit .315 (52-11-130) from the floor, and posted three service aces and 13 blocks.

Individually for the Wildcats, junior Randy Goodenough posted 10 kills and eight digs, and freshman Tiffany Owens finished with nine kills and a career-high 11 digs.? Senior Dominique Lamb added nine kills, and senior Katie Jackels posted a team-best 13 digs.

Senior Asia Kaczor led USC with a match-high 19 kills on .545 hitting (19-1-33).

Arizona played USC close at the start of game one, hanging point-for-point with the Women of Troy for a 15-15 tie.? USC rallied from there, however, using a 7-0 scoring run to take a 22-15 advantage.? The Wildcats scored on three-straight possessions to cut the deficit to 27-24, but USC held on down the stretch for a 30-25 win on .333 hitting (18-5-39).

The Wildcats played tough in game two and went up 10-4 on the Trojans early on.? USC responded to tie the game up at 16-16, and then used a 6-0 run to take a 22-16 lead.? The Women of Troy never looked back after that, cruising down the stretch for a 30-24 win.? USC hit .260 (16-3-50) in game two, holding Arizona to a .088 clip (16-11-57).

USC kept the momentum rolling in game three, racing out to a quick 10-2 lead.? Powered by .366 hitting (18-3-41), the Women of Troy held Arizona to a .103 mark (12-8-39), and coasted for a 30-18 win to complete the sweep.

Arizona will close out the season with a match against No. 10 UCLA tomorrow night at 7 p.m. in McKale Center.
