Arizona Improves to 3-0 With Hawaii Victory

  • HONOLULU (AP) - Through three games, Arizona is still undefeated in women's basketball.

    Elizabeth Pickney scored 20 points and Angela Lackey added 15 to lead the 25th-ranked Wildcats over Hawaii 86-73 Sunday in the championship game of the Hawaiian Regent Classic.

    Arizona posted its third straight double-digit win, holding off a late rally by the Wahine (1-2).

    The Wildcats built a 23-point lead early in the second half, but Hawaii, behind the 3-point shooting of Kylie Galloway, narrowed the gap to 75-67 with 3:47 left.

    Galloway went 0-for-6 from the floor in the first half, but finished with 22 points. She made four 3-pointers.

    Lisa Griffith had 14 points for Arizona to go with seven rebounds and six assists.
