The Wildcat women's tennis team wrapped up their three-game home-stand by defeating New Mexico on Sunday, 5-2. With the win, Arizona improved to 3-0 this spring in dual matches. Leading the way for the Cats was freshman Maja Mlakar. In singles play Mlakar topped New Mexico's Tjasa Suvak, 6-2, 6-2. UA sophomore Debbie Larocque teamed with Mlakar in doubles and edged New Mexico's duo of Suvak and Rachel Hatley, 8-3. Larocque won her second straight singles match of the weekend, tripping up New Mexico's Tiffany Robertson, 6-4, 6-1.
Arizona freshman Dianne Hollands earned a victory over New Mexico's Regula Comtesse, 6-1, 6-1. In doubles play, UA sophomore Perrine Pernin and Hollands dominated New Mexico's Comtesse and Maria Ruiz-Fabrega, 8-1.
The Cats continue action against the Univ. of Oregon on Feb. 17 in Eugene, Ore.
