?

The loss dropped the Wildcats to 13-13 overall and to 3-11 in the Pac-10, while the Sun Devils improved to 15-12 for the year with the victory and pulled back to .500 in conference with a 7-7 league mark.

?

ˇ?I feel terrible for the players,ˇ± said Arizona head coach Dave Rubio. ˇ?This match in particular is all about ˇ®only ifˇ? ?C Only if we had made the right play or kept the serve in. That has defined our season, only if we couldˇ?ve played better when the score is between 25 and 30.ˇ±

?

??????????? Led by a career-high-tying 25 kills by Owens, Arizona finished the match with 57 kills and 22 errors on 142 swings for a .246 hitting percentage. ASU countered with an efficient 57 kills and 18 errors on 128 attempts for a .305 attack percentage.

?

The Wildcats out-blocked the Devils 8-to-3.5 on the night, but also committed seven blocking errors and found themselves in the net on a number of occasions.

?

??????????? ASUˇ?s Sarah Reaves and Margie Giordano paced the Sun Devil attack individually with 16 and 15 kills, respectively. Giordano committed only a single attack error for a match-best .452 hitting percentage, while Reaves added 13 digs for the lone double-double of the night.

?

??????????? UAˇ?s Dominique Lamb was the only other player to end the contest with double digit kills, finishing with 12 on .409 hitting.

?

??????????? The Wildcats will take a break from Pac-10 action in their next match when they host No. 18 Colorado State in McKale Center on Friday. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
