Arizona Women's Golfers Remain No. 1 in Latest Rankings

Tucson, Ariz. In the latest edition of the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings, the University of Arizona women's golf team is ranked No. 1 in the country for the fifth consecutive week. The UA, which has won four tournaments this season, including its last three in a row, will be in action again next week when it plays at the Rainbow Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii, March 28-30.

Individually, Arizona senior Jenna Daniels is tied for the top spot in the nation with Arizona State's Miriam Nagl. In six tournaments this season, Daniels has not finished any lower than eighth, won the Golf World Invitational last fall and leads the team in scoring with a 71.72 average.

Arizona's other ranked golfers include sophomore Cristina Baena (No. 9), senior Jill Gomric (No. 12), junior Christina Monteiro (No. 29) and freshman Julia Krachinski (No. 60).
