TUCSON, Ariz. ?C The Arizona womenˇ?s golf team is ranked No. 9 according to Golfweek magazine.? The magazine announced their top 10 womenˇ?s teams for the 2007-08 season on their website, www.golfweek.com.

After their 14th place finish at the 2007 NCAA Championships and with the return of top golfers Alison Walshe, Mary Jacobs, and Adriana Zwanck, the Wildcats are expected to contend for a national title.

Ahead of the Wildcats in the ranking are Duke, Arizona State, USC, UCLA, Auburn, Oklahoma State, Purdue, and Vanderbilt.? Rounding out the top 10 is Pepperdine.

The Wildcats begin their season on September 14-16 at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Nashville, Tennessee.
