WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--Arizona long snapper Ben DalMolin earned Pac-10 All-Academic second-team football honors today.

The senior from Globe, Ariz., carries a 3.35 grade point average in wildlife, watershed and range resources, a course of study in the UA's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

He was named to the All-Academic squad as an offensive lineman. He will earn his third letter this season after starting as the snapper in 2001 and 2002, and rejoining the team last spring after spending the 2003 season concentrating on his coursework.

Six other UA nominees for the All-Academic football team earned honorable mention -- sophomore linebacker Akin Akinniyi, junior place kicker Nick Folk, redshirt freshman offensive tackle Peter Graniello, redshirt freshman quarterback Richard Kovalcheck, sophomore offensive lineman Erick Levitre and senior safety Tony Wingate.
