EUGENE, Ore. - The top-ranked Arizona women's golf team jumped from second to first place after the second day of play at the Pac-10 Championships. The Wildcats shot a total of 6-over-par 294 today, to bring their two-day team total to 17-over-par 593. UCLA moved up one spot to second place (22-over-598). Southern California dropped two spots and is in third (26-over-par 602), while Stanford (28-over-par 604) and Oregon (29-over-par) round out the top five. The tournament is being held at the Eugene Country Club Golf Course a par-72, 6,000 yard layout.

Individually for the Wildcats, senior Jill Gomric is tied for third with a 2-over-par 146, while sophomore Cristina Baena moved up nine places from yesterday and is tied for ninth (5-over-par 149). Freshman Julia Kraschinski jumped 20 places and is now in 11th place, with a two-day total of 6-over-par150. Senior Jenna Daniels and junior Christina Monteiro are tied for 15th at 7-over-par 151.

Competing as an individual is freshman Anne Lee who moved up 14 spots and is now tied for 26th with a two day score of 10-over-par 154.

The final day of pac-10 Championships is tomorrow with 18-holes of play at 8:30 a.m. PST.
