TUCSON- The Arizona women’s diving team played host to the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks this after noon for a dual diving meet on the 1-meter board.
Senior Claire Febvay finished in first place with 318.90 points, which automatically qualifies her to compete at the Zone E Diving Championships in March. Sophomore Megan MacDonald finished fourth with 289.80 points and freshman Holly Kast was fifth (275.10).
“Despite the weather all the divers were very competitive today,” said head diving coach Michele Mitchell-Rocha. “I am glad that we got a few more kids to qualify for the Zone E Diving Championships that had not made it yet.”
Junior John Collier and sophomore J.J. Aderholt also competed against each other as Collier won the 1-meter with 400.80 points and Aderholt came in second with 296.76 points.
The Arizona swimming and diving teams will return to action after winter break on Jan. 7, 2005 when they host Oregon State at 2 p.m. (PST).
