What is your favorite Arizona tradition?

Trey Griffey: "The Haka. I did it in high school so being able to do it here is awesome."

Dakota Conwell: "After we win, we all go in the locker room and sing "Bear Down" together."

Why did you choose Arizona?

Trey Griffey: "The coaching staff. I was looking at Indiana when Coach (Rod) Smith was there and then he came here, so it was perfect."

Dakota Conwell: "One of the coaches here recruited me to the University of Pittsburgh. I had a good relationship with him, so I came here out here to visit. I thought it was good place for me and a good place to play."

What has surprised you so far in your first year?

Trey Griffey: "The tempo is totally different than last year. We play at a very high tempo but it pays off in the game."

Dakota Conwell: "The tempo of practice. It's a lot faster than high school. I'm starting to pick it up. I play special teams so practice I'm always moving. I'm probably in the best shape I've ever been in."

How do you like running Coach Rodriguez's offensive system?

Trey Griffey: "It's great. At first it was hard but since we're getting toward the end of the season, we're starting to get used to it. And as you see, teams are starting to get tired and we're succeeding."

How do you like running the 3-3-5 defense?

Dakota Conwell: "Once you start getting used to it, it's actually really fun. Like at my position, middle linebacker, you get a little bit of free will to be able to go make plays. So once you get used to it, it's really fun."

How are you balancing your academics and football in your first year?

Trey Griffey: "We have a great academic advisor. They help us out with anything and the coaches, too. If you need help with anything, you need to talk school or about life, they're there to help."

Dakota Conwell: "It's not too bad because we have academic advisors, so it helps us stay on top of our work. A lot of the other players have the same classes, so we study together."

After the big win last week, how does the team stay focused on getting ready for the next opponent?

Trey Griffey: "The more you win, the more you have to lose. It already happened to us earlier this year when we beat Oklahoma State then went to Oregon. Now that we know how it feels, we don't want it to happen again."

Dakota Conwell: "Coach Rodriguez has a 24-hour rule. You can celebrate for 24 hours than you have to move on to the next opponent."
