Arizona Tabbed No. 17 in Preseason Poll

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona volleyball team has been picked No. 17 overall in the USA Today/CSTV (College Sports Television) preseason coaches poll, which was released today.

 

The Wildcats, who return all six starters from last year’s squad, will face eight teams ranked in the preseason Top 25, including defending national champion and No. 1-ranked Southern California. Also on the schedule for Arizona is No. 3 UCLA, No. 6 Stanford, No. 7 Washington, No. 9 Pepperdine, No. 10 California, No. 13

Hawaii, and No. 20 Louisville. Hawaii is the first ranked team the Wildcats will face, as they travel to the Wahine Classic over Labor Day weekend (Sept. 3-5).

 

Arizona was one of six teams from the Pacific-10 Conference in the poll. The Pac-10 is the only conference nationwide with five or more teams ranked in the Top 25.
