SKILLMAN, N.J. — Ravid Hazi is named a 2010 National Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete. The native from Rishon LeZion, Israel earned his major in finance and accounting this year and finished with an average G.P.A. of 3.68 for the 2009-10 school year at the University of Arizona, including a perfect 4.0 in the summer.

This is the third academic honor for Hazi this year. He received the C.A.T.S Life Skills Initiative Award for well rounded collegiate experience in April and in June Hazi was named to the Pacific-10 All Academic team for the second consecutive year. In the fall, Hazi will intern with Merrill Lynch.
In his final season as a Wildcat, Hazi competed primarily in the No. 6 position in single’s action where he compiled a 7-5 record and was 3-1 when playing in position No. 5. He had a six-single’s match winning streak, the longest of the season that started against Santa Clara and ended against then-No.16 California. As a senior, he compiled an overall 10-7 single’s record.
