TUCSON, Ariz. - Each National Basketball Association season, the University of Arizona men's basketball team is among the leaders when it comes to former players in the playoffs and the 2009-10 campaign is no different.

This year UA boasts seven former players on NBA playoff rosters with six former Cats on Western Conference teams and one with an Eastern Conference club.

The list includes: Jerryd Bayless (Portland Trailblazers), Mike Bibby (Atlanta Hawks), Channing Frye (Phoenix Suns), Richard Jefferson (San Antonio Spurs), Mustafa Shakur (Oklahoma City Thunder), Jason Terry (Dallas Mavericks) and Luke Walton (Los Angeles Lakers).

Arizona is tied for second nationally with Duke in terms of greatest alumni representation in the postseason. North Carolina leads all schools with 10.

During the 2009-10 NBA regular season, UA had 11 different players appear on NBA rosters.

Additionally, Brandon Jennings of Milwaukee and Stephen Jackson of Charlotte, who both signed National Letters-of-Intent with Arizona but never played for the Wildcats, also qualified for the NBA playoffs.
