LAS VEGAS, Nev. ?C The Arizona womenˇ?s golf team finished second at the Las Vegas Intercollegiate Showdown, eleven strokes behind tournament winner Denver.? The Wildcats carded a six-over 294 on Wednesday to bring their tournament total to 869 (+5).

Katie Kemper of the University of Denver claimed the individual title with a score of 208 (-8).

For the Wildcats, senior Alison Walshe tied for second after carding a two-under 70 in the final round.? The Westford, Mass., grabbed her first eagle of the season on the eighth hole and finished with a five-under 211 after 54 holes of play.

Freshman Alejandra Llaneza tied for fourth place with a final score of 213 (-2).? This was Llanezaˇ?s first top-10 finish as a Wildcat.

Junior Adriana Zwanck carded a three-over 75 on Wednesday to tie for 23rd place.? Two strokes behind was senior Mary Jacobs, who finished in a tie for 31st place with a score of 224 (+8).

Junior Amanda Wilson tied for 46th place with a score of 227 (+11) following three rounds of play.

Competing as an individual for the Wildcats was sophomore Brittany Benvenuto, who tied for 78th place.
