TUCSON - The Arizona Wildcats (5-2, 0-0 Pac-10) and the New Mexico Lobos (5-3, 0-0 MWC) will continue the 2010-11 season with a contest at New Mexico's The Pit/Bob King Court on Tues., Dec. 7. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.

In the current polls, the Arizona Wildcats are receiving votes in the Associated Press Top 25 Weekly Poll. Released every Tuesday, the Wildcats are one of five Pac-10 teams ranked by the AP: No. 3 Stanford, No. 13 UCLA, USC (RV, 4), Arizona (RV, 4), Cal (RV, 3).

All Wildcat games can be heard live on KTUC AM 1400. All broadcasts will start 15 minutes prior to tip-off for the pre-game show. Entering their third season calling Arizona Wildcat women's basketball games will be Derrick Palmer (play-by-play) and Alysiah Bond (color). Live stats are available at ArizonaWildcats.com. The Arizona Wildcats and the New Mexico Lobos will meet for the 20th time on Tuesday. The Wildcats lead the series with the Lobos, 10-9. In the last five contests, UA has won three. The last time Arizona traveled to Albuquerque, the Wildcats won, 44-36, during the 2007-08 season.

The New Mexico Lobos are 5-3 to start the season with wins over UC-Irvine, California, San Francisco, New Mexico State and Lamar. Their losses have come at the hands of Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Arizona State. Porche Torrance leads the Wildcats offensively with 10.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Lauren Taylor also chips in with 10.4 points per game. Torrance is also New Mexico's leading rebounder.

Currently, Wildcat players lead the Pac-10 in assists (S. Arnold, 44, 6.3 pg). Additionally, the squad leads the Pac-10 in defensive rebound percentage (.722). Arizona's main contributors off the bench are coming from their two youngest players. Freshman Candice Warthen is averaging 8.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in 21.0 minutes. Freshman Erica Barnes is averaging 7.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in 17.4 minutes.

Junior guard Shanita Arnold is making the most of her Wildcat outings. Averaging team-leading 33.3 minutes per game, she's also averaging Pac-10 leading 6.3 assists per game with 44 total in seven contests. Senior forward Ify Ibekwe is making the most of her final season with the Wildcats. In seven games played, she's averaging 15.6 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. In her last five outings, with at least 12 points in each contest, she's averaged 19.8 points per game.

Tuesday's game will also be televised by The Mtn. - The Mountain West Sports Network. The Mtn. is available nationwide on DIRECTV channel 616.
