Summer 2004

Played for the Duluth Huskies in the Northwoods League for former UA volunteer assistant Jeff Casper ... Hit .275 with 12 runs scored in 14 games to help the Huskies capture the North Division championship.


Arizona 2004

Season: Appeared in 27 games, mostly as a defensive replacement ... Made 11 appearances on the mound in relief ... Stanford (May 15-17): Collected his lone hit of the season against the top ranked Cardinal on May 17 ... Drew an intentional walk in Arizona’s ninth-inning, come-from-behind victory over the Cardinal on May 16.

Graduated from Highland High School where he earned four varsity letters as pitcher and outfielder for coach Joel Hawkins ... Was team captain his senior season ... First team all-metro his senior season ... Garnered all-area honors as well ... Was named All-Mississippi Valley Conference in 2002  ... Owns school records for batting average, extra base hits, on-base percentage, runs, ERA and wins ... Was a starter all four seasons for Highland ... Team won a school record 101 games during his career ... Also earned four letters playing basketball for coach Jim Youngman and three in golf for coach Jeff Faulkenburg ...
