Summer 2004

Played for the Duluth Huskies in the Northwoods League for former UA volunteer assistant Jeff Casper ... Hit .275 with 12 runs scored in 14 games to help the Huskies capture the North Division championship.

 

Arizona 2004

Season: Appeared in 27 games, mostly as a defensive replacement ... Made 11 appearances on the mound in relief ... Stanford (May 15-17): Collected his lone hit of the season against the top ranked Cardinal on May 17 ... Drew an intentional walk in Arizona’s ninth-inning, come-from-behind victory over the Cardinal on May 16.

Played for the Bluff City Bombers in the Central Illinois Collegiate League.

Sac State (April 14): Tossed an inning of scoreless relief ... Miami (OH) (April 4-6): Gave up one run on six hits over four innings in relief of Kevin Guyette in Saturday’s 9-4 loss ... Struck out two and walked one ... New Mexico (Mar. 18-19): Came on in relief of Derek Rodriguez in the series finale and struck out four in two innings of work ... at #9 Texas (Mar. 7-9): Tossed an inning of relief in Sunday’s series finale ... #24 Texas A&M (Feb. 28- Mar. 2): Worked 1 1/3 innings of relief in Arizona’s 17-1 win on Sunday ... Minnesota (Feb. 21-23): Came on in relief of starter Joe Little in the series opener. Worked three innings, giving up four earned runs on six hits ... #10 Baylor (Feb. 7-9): Worked four innings in relief of starter Sean Rierson. Struck out three while giving up just one earned run ... BYU (Jan. 30-Feb. 1): Made his first career appearance with an inning of relief in Arizona’s 32-3 blowout win.

Graduated from Highland High School where he earned four varsity letters as pitcher and outfielder for coach Joel Hawkins ... Was team captain his senior season ... First team all-metro his senior season ... Garnered all-area honors as well ... Was named All-Mississippi Valley Conference in 2002  ... Owns school records for batting average, extra base hits, on-base percentage, runs, ERA and wins ... Was a starter all four seasons for Highland ... Team won a school record 101 games during his career ... Also earned four letters playing basketball for coach Jim Youngman and three in golf for coach Jeff Faulkenburg ... Was team captain of the basketball team his senior season ... Started all four years at point guard on the hoops team ... Was all-area and all-conference in both basketball and golf ... Played with the Midwest Prospects out of St. Louis the past two years ... Team was national runner-up at the 2001 National Amateur Baseball Federation World Series ... Led the team in hitting.
