The 2005 college football campaign is right around the corner, and for the fourth consecutive year FSN Arizona plans to get Wildcat fans ready for the season by replaying some past gridiron classics for the University of Arizona football program.

FSN Arizona, the exclusive cable television home to the University of Arizona, will telecast three Arizona games from past seasons as part of a six-week series featuring past Arizona and Arizona State games. The Arizona & Arizona State Football Classic series airs at 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays through August 27.

Prior to the UA classic replays on July 23, Aug. 6 and Aug. 20, FSN Arizona will air encore presentations of last year’s Wildcat Insider finale at 6 p.m. A 30-minute, behind-the-scenes look at the University of Arizona football program, it showcases the Cats preparations for the 2005 season with highlights of the Spring Football game, interviews and a look at incoming Wildcat football recruits.

Saturday’s series debut starts at 6:30 p.m. and is the Wildcats' game with California from Nov. 15, 1997. Yet another thriller from the storied UA/Cal series, this was a double-overtime game in Tucson that was eventually won by Arizona, 41-38. The three-headed attack of Keith Smith, Trung Canidate and Dennis Northcutt helped the UA’s cause before Mark McDonald hit the game-winning field goal.

The second Arizona telecast is on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 6:30 p.m. when the network televises the Utah at Arizona game played in Tucson on Sept. 14, 2002. It was a 23-17 win for the Wildcats as they used a late red-zone stop to preserve a win in the final seconds after building a 23-7 third quarter lead.

Wildcat fans will then get their chance to relive last year’s big win over Arizona State on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m. Freshman quarterback Richard Kovalcheck helped UA pull off the 34-27 upset of the 18th-ranked Sun Devils to reclaim the Territorial Cup and let Wildcat Nation enjoy state bragging rights for the next 365 days.

The 2005 Arizona & Arizona State Football Classic replay telecast schedule is as follows:
