2004-05 Season: Is a four-time first team All-American...  Holds the school record in the 200 IM after finishing second at the NCAA Championships (1:44.42)... Also, swam the second leg of the third-place 200 medley relay, finished seventh in the 100 breaststroke (46.33) and finished sixth in the 200 breaststroke (1:56.36)... At the Pac-10 Championships, finished ninth in the 200 breaststroke (2:00.16), eighth in the 100 breaststroke and sixth in the 200 IM (1:46.96)... Finished first in the 200 IM (1:51.39) and second in the 100 breaststroke against ASU... Finished second in the 200 IM (1:50.03) and third in the 400 IM against SMU and Texas (3:58.57)... Swam the first leg of the first-place 200 medley relay against Washington and Northwestern and finished second in the 200 IM... At the Texas Invitational, placed second in the 200 IM (1:46.13) and tied for first place in the 100 breaststroke (54.18)... Also tied for first-place in the 200 breaststroke (1:57.56)... Against USC, finished third in the 100 breaststroke and second in the 200 IM... Against Wisconsin, finished second in the 100 breaststroke.

 

2003-04 Season: First team All-American for the 200 medley relay and honorable mention for the 200 IM... Finished 13th in the 200-meter IM (1:59.58) and swam the second leg of the fifth place 200 medley relay at the NCAA Championships... Posted six NCAA consideration times at the 2004 Pac-10 Championships...  Anchored the third-place 200 free relay... Against Arizona State, was first in the 200-meter IM (2:03.20) and contributed to the first-place 200-meter medley relay...Won the 100 breaststroke (57.11) and the 200 IM (1:52.69) against Texas... Was fourth in the 100 breaststroke against Stanford and finished third in the 200 backstroke (1:52.32)...Posted four NCAA consideration times at the 2003 Texas Invitational. Finished second in the 100 breaststroke (54.60)... Swam the first leg of the first-place 400-meter (LC) medley relay against USC.

 

2002-03 Season:  At 2003 Pac-10 Championships, finished 10th in the 200 IM (1:48.05), 12th in the 200 backstroke (1:48.23) and 11th in the 100 backstroke (49.47)... His times in the 200 IM, 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke were new personal bests... In dual meet action, won the 200 IM, was third in the 100 back stroke (51.26) and third in the 200 backstroke against Arizona State... Finished fourth in the 200 backstroke against California... Placed fourth in the 100 back stroke and fifth in the 200 backstroke against Stanford... At the Texas Invitational, was 15th in the 100 backstroke and 24th in the 200 backstroke.

 

Prep: Four-year letterwinner in swimming at Tucson’s Sabino High School... Four-time high school All-American... Team captain and MVP as a senior... Set school records in the 100 back, 100 breast and 200 IM... Helped Sabino to a runner-up finish at the regional meet and a third-place finish at the state meet as a senior... Was the state champion in the 100 breast, 200 IM and the 400 free relay... Also competed for the Tucson Ford Dealers Aquatics club team... Set five team records... Was a sectional and state champion with the club.

 

Personal:  Born David Elliot Rollins on Sept. 23, 1984, in Brockton, Mass. ... Son of Tim and Stephanie Rollins... Has one older sister, Kate...  His mother was a swimmer at Northwestern University... Major is history.
