Tucson , Ariz. ?C Arizona womenˇ?s basketball head coach Joan Bonvicini announced the finalized schedule for the upcoming 2007-08 season on Thursday. The Wildcats are set to play 28 games during the 2007-08 season, 12 games in McKale Center and 16 on the road, with 13 games scheduled against teams that competed in the NCAA Tournament last season.

The Wildcats will take on nine teams that competed in the 2007 NCAA Tournament, with non-conference matchups against Pittsburgh, Boise State, New Mexico, NC State, and UW-Green Bay, along with Pac-10 series against California, Stanford, Washington and Arizona State.

Arizona will officially begin its 2007-08 campaign with the annual Red & Blue game on Sunday, Oct. 28 in McKale Center.? The Wildcats will also host an exhibition game against Vanguard University on Nov. 5.

?

Arizona starts the regular season on the road Friday, Nov. 9 at the WBCA/Basketball Travelers Classic in University Park, Pa.? The Wildcats will play their first game of the season against Penn State, the host of the WBCA/Basketball Travelers Classic, with games against Pittsburgh on Saturday, Nov. 10 and UNC-Charlotte (2007 WNIT participant) on Sunday, Nov. 11 to round out the tournament.

Arizonaˇ?s home opener is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 16 against Portland.? The Wildcats will then travel to Raleigh, N.C., for a game at NC State on Tuesday, Nov. 20.

UA opens the month of December with a home game against Northern Arizona (Dec. 6), before traveling to Long Beach State (Dec. 9).? The Wildcats host Boise State (Dec. 12), and then go on a two-game road swing at New Mexico (Dec. 15) and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (Dec. 20).

Arizona closes out the 2007 calendar year by starting the Pacific-10 Conference schedule at home with games against UCLA (Dec. 28) and USC (Dec. 30).

The Wildcats will open the New Year on the road at Oregon State (Jan. 3) and Oregon (Jan. 5).? Arizona will then open a three-game home stand with matchups against Arizona State (Jan. 12), Stanford (Jan. 17), and California (Jan. 19).

UA closes out the first half of the Pac-10 season on the road at Washington State (Jan. 24) and Washington (Jan. 26).? The Wildcats then host Oregon (Jan. 31) and Oregon State (Feb. 2) before going on a three-game road trip.? Arizona will travel to Arizona State (Feb. 8), and then heads to California (Feb. 14) and Stanford (Feb. 16).

The Wildcatsˇ? final home stand of the year is against Washington (Feb. 21) and Washington State (Feb. 23), before closing out the regular season in Los Angeles at USC (Feb. 28) and UCLA (March 1).

The Pac-10 Tournament will again be held at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., and will run from March 7-10.
