TUCSON-- The Arizona football team dusted off its shoulder pads and put them on for the first time for Monday's third spring workout. The Cats took part in a spirted team drill at the end of practice that saw both units get an upper hand at one point.
"I'm really pleased with the effort the guys are showing," head coach Mike Stoops said. "They're working hard and have a lot of enthusiasm and enrgery out here. Our guys know that we need to practice and play harder and the effort they've shown so far has displayed that. They were mixing it up a little bit today, but our guys know it's important for us to get better and stay healthy during these spring workouts."
The Wildcats will return to the practice field for one more scheduled workout before taking time off for UA's spring break week March 14-25.
