2005-06 Season: At the 2006 Pac-10 Championships, finished 13th in the 100 breast (56.32) and 14th in the 200 breast (2:03.12)... Against ASU, finished third in the 100 breast (56.09) and fourth in the 200 breast (2:03.55)... Swam the second leg of the second-place 400 medley relay against Texas and placed fifth in the 200 breast... Against Cal, took fifth place in the 100 breast and finished fifth in the 200 breast against Stanford...  Was second in the 200 breast versus Washington... At the 2005 Texas Invitational, finished 13th overall in the 100 breast (56.37) and finished 16th in the 200 breast... Swam the second leg of the first-place 400 medley relay against UCSB and posted an exhibition time of 2:04.75 in the 200 breast, which was good enough for first place... Against Wisconsin, finished second in the 200 breast (2:09.14) and third in the 100 breast.


Prep: Four-year letter winner for swimming at Catalina Foothills High School under Coach Nicole Sayers... Was part of the 200 and 400 free relay team who holds the Arizona 4-A high school record... Was the 2005 4-A High School Swimmer of the Year...Received the NISCA Academic All American award in 2003 and 2004 as well as the Nation Hispanic Scholar award.


National/ International Competition- 2006- Participated in Senior National Competition in the 100 and 200-meter breast (30th place)...2005: At Junior Nationals, finished second in the 100-meter breast (LC) (1:05.05), third in the 200-meter breast (LC) and eighth in the 50-meter free (LC).


Personal: Born Joshua Manuel Arreguin on June 2, 1987 in Los Angeles, Calif. ... Son of Manny and Roxanne Arreguin... Major is undecided.
