TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona Wildcat men's golf team travels to Fresno, Calif. for the Fresno State Lexus Classic, a two-day, sixteen-team event on March 5 and 6.
The tournament, hosted by Fresno State, will be held at the Fort Washington Country Club, a par-72, 6765-yard course. Monday begins at a 7:45 a.m. PT shotgun start for the first 36 holes, and the final eighteen holes will be played on Tuesday.
The Lexus Classic field includes Arizona, Fresno State, BYU, Boise State, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Fresno City, Kansas State, Long Beach State, Oregon State, Pacific, Sacramento State, San Diego, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, and Washington State.
Last week, the Wildcats traveled to Palm Desert, Calif. to compete in the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. Arizona finished in eleventh place with a final of 878 (+14). Hernandez led the Cats, finishing even with a final of 216 (E) for a tie for 21st place. Redfern finished one stroke behind Hernandez at 217 (+1).
