SEATTLE, Wash. ?C The Arizona womenˇ?s golf team completed the first round of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in a tie for fourth place.? Southern California leads the field after one round of play, carding a 296 (+8) to hold a five stroke advantage over Arizona State.

There is a three-way tie for first after Mondayˇ?s play, as Southern Californiaˇ?s Belen Mozo, Arizona Stateˇ?s Anna Nordqvist, and Stanfordˇ?s Mari Chun shot a two-under 70 during the first round.

The tournament is hosted by the University of Washington and is being played at the Sahalee Country Club Golf Course, which stretches 6,127 yards and is a par-72.

For the Wildcats, senior Alison Walshe carded an even 72 to stand in fourth place heading into tomorrowˇ?s second round of play.

Junior Adriana Zwanck is tied for fifth with a score of 73 (+1).? The Madrid, Spain native gathered four birdies through eighteen holes of play, the most for any Wildcat on Monday.

Freshman Alejandra Llaneza shot a 78 (+6) through 18 holes to tie for 31st place.

Junior Amanda Wilson carded a ten-over 82 during the first round of play to tie for 56th place.? Senior Mary Jacobs is currently tied for 63rd place with a score of 83 (+11).

The tournament continues tomorrow, with a second round tee time scheduled for 9am PT.
