WALNUT CREEK, Calif. ?- Arizona’s Alicia Hollowell scored her second Pitcher of the Week honor, as the Pac-10 Conference named her its top hurler for the second consecutive week.

Scoring is something that hasn’t happened much this season with Hollowell in the circle, as she has not yet given up a run in 39.0 innings pitched this season.  Last weekend, Hollowell (6-0) threw three shutouts.  Of her six shutouts on the season, three have come against ranked opponents.

Two weeks ago, UA’s all-time strikeouts leader became the Wildcat all-time leader in innings surpassing former Wildcat Jennie Finch’s 876.2.  Hollowell has now tossed 908.2 innings pitched, with a career 0.83 ERA.

Next on the record books checklist, Hollowell looks to take over as UA’s all-time wins leader.  Entering this week, Hollowell stands in third place with 118 career victories, one behind Finch’s 119 and Nancy Evans’ 124.

Last week, Hollowell was named the National Player of the Week by USA Softball and Pitcher of the Week by the Pac-10.
