TUCSON –It was a busy weekend for the University of Arizona Wildcat women’s basketball team with a few community events on Sat., Oct. 15. The team and staff spent Saturday afternoon in a mentoring session with Prince A.M.E. Church of Tucson. The players gave the church members a tour of the athletic facilities and then they participated in drills on the McKale Court.

On Saturday night, the coaching staff hosted Movie Night with a sneak peek of The Mighty Macs. Opening officially next weekend, The Mighty Macs is based on the incredible true story of the 1971-72 Immaculata College team that started in obscurity but became the original Cinderella story in women's basketball. This team of pioneers went from barely making that inaugural tournament to the first dynasty in their game.

The events will continue with Season Ticket Delivery on Mon., Oct. 17 and Media Day on Tues., Oct. 18. Check back for updates, photos and videos.
