First Round Results & Round 2 Tee Times in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Arizona's men's golf team shot a 307 (+19) and is in 13th place after the first round of the NCAA Southwest Regional held at Carlton Oaks Golf Club in Santee, Calif. a par 72, 7,360 yard course.


The Wildcats were led by Tarquin MacManus who carded a 75 (+3) and is tied for 25th; the junior is seven strokes off the lead.


Oregon, California, Tennessee and UNLV are six-over and tied for first. Arizona is 13 strokes off the lead and 12 strokes out of fifth. The top-5 teams and top individual from each regional makes the NCAA Championship.


Eddie Olson of UNLV leads all individuals at four-under. New Mexico State's Timothy Madigan is in second followed by Michael Weaver of California.


The second round of the three round tournament tees off tomorrow at 8:20 a.m. with the third round played Saturday.
