Tucson, Ariz. - The University of Arizona women's diving team signed three student-athletes to National Letters-of-Intent for the 2007-08 season, head coach Michele Mitchell announced Fri., Nov. 24.

The Wildcats signed Danni Ridgway from Columbus, Ohio, who is a competitor for the Elite Diving Academy, Carli Smith from Houston, Texas, who is a member of the Cougar diving team and Tucsonan local Sammy Kunk.

According to coach Mitchell, all three divers have competed at the junior national level for several years and are experienced platform divers, as well as accomplished springboard competitors. Ridgway and Smith are High School All Americans, while Kunk is part of the Tucson diving team and is a committed walk on for next season.

"I'm really pleased with our new Wildcat divers,” Mitchell said. “Each brings both talent and potential to our program. In terms of talent, work ethic and personality, all will fit right in with our team, and I have no doubt we will be seeing their names at the top of the results columns for years to come."
