TUCSON, Ariz.- The Arizona volleyball team (7-9, 1-5) won its first Pac-10 Conference match of the season and snapped a five-match losing streak with a four-game upset over No.8-ranked UCLA (12-3, 4-2 Pac-10) in Los Angeles on Friday. Game scores were 30-26, 24-30, 30-18, 30-22.

Paced by a match-high 24 kills by sophomore Kim Glass, the Wildcats won their fourth-straight match over the Bruins. Arizona, which has struggled on offense all season, posted a semi-breakout match on Friday, out-hitting UCLA .255 to .133 on the night. Arizona limited the Bruins to a .000 attack percentage in games one and three as it snapped its longest losing streak since 1995.

Glass, who tallied her ninth 20-plus kill-match of the season on .333 hitting against Bruins, also chipped in with a team-high 13 digs and four block assists in the win.

Senior Kelly Griffin-Halfaker, who replaced starting setter Stephanie Butkus in game one, dished out a match-high 43 assists. Sophomore Jennifer Abernathy added 13 kills and nine digs in the winning effort, while junior Jolene Killough finished with seven kills and a match-high-tying seven total blocks for the Wildcats.

Arizona will return to action against defending national champion and No. 1-ranked USC (15-0, 6-0) on Saturday. First serve for the match is set for 4:30 pm.
