TUCSON, Ariz. ?- The No. 3 Arizona softball team (31-6, 5-4 Pac-10) will host a two-game series with No. 24 Arizona State beginning Friday at 7 p.m. at Hillenbrand Stadium. The Cats and the Sundevils will face off again on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The Wildcats lead the all-time series with ASU, 87-72, and earlier this season took away a 1-0 win in Tempe with Hollowell on the mound. Last season, Hollowell (21-5) and the Cats swept the ?'Devils. In three games, Arizona outscored ASU, 17-1.
This season Arizona State is 26-16 overall and 1-9 in the Pac-10, which puts the Sundevils in last place in the conference. The Wildcats are currently in fourth place behind Oregon State (8-2), Stanford (6-2) and Cal (6-3).
