EUGENE, Ore. - The first ranked Arizona women's golf team, according to the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings, is in second place after day one of the Pac-10 Championships. The Wildcats shot a team total of 11-over-par 299, trailing Southern California with a team score of 4-over-par 292. California and UCLA are tied for 3rd with a team total of 13-over-par 301, while Stanford is in 5th place posting a 14-over-par 302. The tournament is being held at the Eugene Country Club Golf Course (par-72, 6,000 yards).

Senior Jill Gomric leads Arizona tied for second place, shooting 1-under-par 71. Tied for 10th is junior Christina Monteiro posting a 3-over-par 75, while sophomore Cristina Baena shot 4-over-par 76 to be tied for 18th. Senior All-American Jenna Daniels is tied for 21st after carding a 5-over-par 77. Rounding out the top five competitors for UA is freshman Julia Kraschinski shooting a 6-over-par 78, tied for 31st.

Competing as an individual for the Wildcats is freshman Anne Lee who shot 8-over-par 80 after day one.

Day two of Pac-10 Championships is tomorrow with 18-holes of play beginning at 8:30 a.m. PST.
