ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. The second ranked University of Arizona women's golf team leads the Jones Intercable Dick McGuire Invitational after the first day of play with a team score of 2-over-par 294. The tournament is being held at the University of New Mexico Championship Course(Par-73, 6,069 yards).

Senior Jenna Daniels is tied for first place with Texas Christian's Angela Stanford after each recorded a 3-under-par 70. UA freshman Julia Kraschinski shot a 1-over-par 74 and is tied for 12th place, senior Jill Gomric and sophomore Cristina Baena are tied for 19th place, shooting a 2-over-par 75. Junior Christina Monteiro rounded out the UA lineup and shot a 7-over-par tying her for 66th place.

Day-two of the three-day, 54-hole tournament is tomorrow with 18 holes of play.
