No. 29 UC Berkeley (5-4) won the doubles point along their way to a 6-1 victory over <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Arizona</st1:place></st1:State>.</FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2>Completing the first match of the day at the No. 3 position were Geoff Chizever and Eoin Heavey, who dealt <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Arizona</st1:place></st1:State>&rsquo;s Jason Labrosse and Ravid Hezi an 8-2 loss. <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Berkley</st1:place></st1:City>&rsquo;s Tyler Brown and John Pettit then clinched the doubles point for their team, defeating Claudio Christen and Bruno Alcala 8-4. The Golden Bears completed the sweep with a victory at the No. 2 spot as <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Arizona</st1:State></st1:place>&rsquo;s Peter Zimmer and Milos Romic came up short against Pierre Mouillon and Kallim stewart 8-3.</FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2>Things did not improve for <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Arizona</st1:place></st1:State> through singles play as the Wildcats dropped five of the six matches. Hezi, a freshman, came close against <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Cal</st1:place></st1:State> sophomore Eoin Heavey. After losing a close first set 6-4, Hezi found himself down 5-2 in the second. He fought back to even the score at five-all, but eventually lost the match in a tiebreaker. <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Arizona</st1:State></st1:place>&rsquo;s only point in the dual came from Zimmer at the No. 4 spot. In the final match of the day, Zimmer defeated Stewart in a tiebreaker after splitting the first two sets.</FONT></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT size=2> </FONT></o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=2>The loss drops <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Arizona</st1:place></st1:State> to 2-5 in the spring season.
