TUCSON - The University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf team and junior Isabelle Boineau were recognized by Golfweek as their collegiate Team of the Week and their collegiate Player of the Week, respectively, it was announced on Monday.

On a windy day with difficult conditions, Arizona persevered and came away with the win at the Wildcat Invitational. The hosting Cats shot a final round of 303 to win the event and finished with an 11-over 875, 11 shots better than Pac-10 rival California. The victory was Arizona's second in five starts this season.

Boineau, a junior from Marseille, France, won the individual title at last week's Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Arizona at The Golf Club at Vistoso. She carded scores of 69, 70 and 73 for a three-round total of 212 (-4) and defeated California's Pia Halbig by two shots.

Including fall competition, Boineau has a stroke average of 72.13 and has finished in the top- 10 at three events. She also picked up an individual win at the Topy Cup, in Tokyo, Japan, to start the fall season in September. She improved to No. 23 in this week's Golfweek rankings.

Also at the Wildcat Invitational, junior Margarita Ramos finished tied for eighth with a score of 220 (+4). Her three rounds carded at 73, 71 and 76. Junior Nikki Koller came back to finish 11th with rounds of 74, 72 and 76 for a total of 222 (+6). Senior Alejandra Llaneza was tied for 13th after shooting 70, 73 and 81 for a three-round total of 224 (+8). Sophomore Kyndall Ardoin rounded out the Wildcat five at tied for 38th. She carded scores of 79, 75 and 78 for a three-round total of 232 (+16).

Freshman Haley Andreas and junior Ashley Malaska played as individuals. Andreas finished fifth with a three-round score of 215 (-1) after carding scores of 72, 67 and 76. Malaska was tied for 66th with a 78, 79 and 85, good for a total of 242 (+26).

Arizona will compete next at the Bruin Wave Invitational, hosted by UCLA, in Valencia, Calif., Feb. 28 to March 2.
