TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona men’s basketball coach Sean Miller is one of 48 head coaches across the nation participating in the Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge with a $100,000 donation earmarked for the winning coach’s designated charity.
Over eight weeks beginning Jan. 18, fan participation will determine the winner by registering and voting on a custom microsite -- CLICK HERE -- or go to http://promo.espn.go.com/espn/contests/infiniti/2012/index. For the first six weeks, coaches will be paired against each other in four regional brackets of 12 coaches each. Regional winners will advance to the semifinals in week seven and the final round in week eight.
Fans can vote for up to four coaches per day. The winning coach will be announced on March 9, 2012.
Miller is representing the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona.
In conjunction with ESPN and the National Association of Basketball Coaches, each participating coach is guaranteed at least $5,000 for the charity of his choice from Infiniti.
