Wildcats Fall at No. 22 UCLA

LOS ANGELES, Cali. - The No. 32 Arizona Wildcats were swept today by No. 22 UCLA at the Los Angeles Tennis Center. The Wildcats fall to 7-6, 2-0 while the Bruins improve to 10-5 on the season. UCLA won two out of three in doubles to get the first point and rolled through singles.

In doubles, Danielle Steinberg and Camelia Todorova paired up to get the Wildcats' only win on the day. The duo won 8-4 in the No. 2 spot.

Singles play was highlighted for Arizona by Steinberg's near upset in the No. 1 position. Steinberg took the first set against No. 24 Riza Zalameda, 6-1, before dropping the next two closely contested sets, 6-3, 6-4. The other five Wildcats all fell in straight sets.

Tomorrow, Arizona will take on No. 11 USC at noon on Saturday, March 17.
