Students may be able to purchase unused seats prior to tip-off

TUCSON, Ariz. ?- The University of Arizona department of athletics in cooperation with ASUA announced a change to the men’s basketball student section seating policy that will be in effect with the team’s next home game on Thursday, Jan. 19.

Beginning 10 minutes prior to game time, if there are still seats left in the student seating area, current UA students with valid CatCards will be allowed to purchase one student ticket in the student area for $6.  This ticket is general admission and will most likely be located in the upper level.

Line-up for any available stand-by tickets will be on the south side of the Zona Zoo entrance (located on the west side of McKale Center) and will begin four (4) hours prior to game time.

Tickets will be sold on a cash-only basis (no checks or credit cards will be accepted).  Tickets will remain on sale until the 10-minute mark of the first half, according to the game clock, or until sold out (whichever comes first).  No guests or non UA students will be allowed to purchase tickets.

Current student season ticket holders that show up after the game begins may not be guaranteed entry.

This policy will be in effect for the remainder of the 2005-06 men's basketball schedule and will be evaluated after the completion of the season.
