LOS ANGELES (AP)--Daniel Hackett hit one free throw with 1.2 seconds remaining, lifting Southern California to a 65-64 victory over Arizona on Saturday night after the Trojans rallied from a nine-point deficit in the second half.
Dwight Lewis scored 21 points, hitting 10-of-12 free throws, and Taj Gibson added 13 points and eight rebounds before fouling out for USC (12-5, 3-2 Pac-10), who improved to 10-1 at home.
Nic Wise lost the ball at Arizona's end with 3 seconds left. The Trojans inbounded and Hackett ran up the court near the far sideline, where he was pushed out of bounds by Jamelle Horne. That put Hackett at the line, where he made the first free throw that clinched the victory before missing the second.
