Now in his third year on staff, Danny Peters was promoted to assistant director of basketball operations in August 2012.

Peters will oversee Arizona's video scouting efforts and is responsible for the organization, breakdown, scouting and presentation of game film. He also will handle player edits for individual player's use and create recruiting videos as well as recruiting game tape for coaches' evaluation.

Administratively, he will supervise the academic progress of each student-athlete within the program, as all 23 players to complete their eligibility under Miller have earned their degrees. Peters is also co-director of the Sean Miller Basketball Camps and will coordinate UA former player outreach.

Peters has long had a coaching career in his sights. Starting his Buckeye career as a manager in 2005-06, Peters has helped train OSU standout guards Mike Conley Jr., Jamar Butler and Evan Turner for game action. Short on players for the 2006-07 campaign, Peters was added to the active roster.

He made a total of 35 appearances in his four-year career, helping the Buckeyes to 110 victories, which was a school record at the time of his graduation, three Big Ten championships (2006, '07, '10), two Big Ten tournament titles (2007, '10), an appearance in the Final Four (2007) and one N.I.T. championship (2008).

Counting his managerial experience, Peters left Columbus with a total of five varsity letters.

Peters originally joined the Wildcat support staff as a graduate manager in August 2010, aiding the coaching staff in player and team workouts in addition to a multitude of video and operational responsibilities. His tireless work ethic and basketball insights infused new energy into Arizona's individual workouts.

Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, Peters earned a bachelor's degree in special education from Ohio State in 2010. His father, Dan, is the director of basketball operations at the University of Akron.
