Diaz' emergence was evident from the onset of the '08 year, with top reserve duty at guard and tackle, then with center Blake Kerley's injury in game four, Diaz stepped into starting role at right guard and kicked his performance up another level... Became part of the cohesive unit that helped propel Arizona's offense into a 400-yard system... Started the last nine games of the year... Mid-year `08 enrollee, but was sidelined for contact work during spring ball recovering from knee problem... Career: 13 games played, 9 starts...

Junior College: Cerritos College, Norwalk, Calif., 2007... First-team all-conference as a sophomore tackle and unanimous first-team All Mission Conference Northern Division in 2006...

Named 1st -team All-Almont League on offense as a senior for coach Frank Mazzotta after earning all-league on both sides of the ball as a sophomore and junior... Also caught three passes for 15 yards and had five quarterback sacks on defense his senior year... Was a 2nd-team All-CIF selection on defense his prep junior season... Pulled in five passes for 25 yards and had two sacks... Spent three years on the basketball team and averaged 11 points a game his senior year...
